Who We Are
Where purpose meets action. We turn compassion into programs that change lives, one woman at a time.
Our Story
Founded by faith. Driven by love.
Simama Mwanamke Foundation (SMF) was founded by Prophetess Lily IPM, a woman of deep vision and compassion, after witnessing the pain and silence of women abandoned by their families, rejected by society, and stripped of their voice. What began as her personal calling has grown into a powerful movement across Tanzania helping women rise from hardship through education, economic opportunity, legal support, and emotional healing. Her mission was clear: “Stand up, woman. You are not forgotten.”
Today, the Foundation is a sisterhood. A safe place. A platform for rebirth and restoration.
Our Mission
We are committed to empowering women and girls especially those abandoned or marginalized through education, economic support, legal aid, and holistic healing. We believe every woman deserves the opportunity to rise again and realize her dreams.
Our Vission
We envision a safe and inclusive society where all women are socially, economically, and mentally empowered fully aware of their worth, actively participating in community development, and holding positions of influence for present and future generations.
What We Believe
- No woman should be left behind.
- Education is a right, not a privilege.
- Economic independence creates lasting change.
- Community and healing go hand in hand.
- The voices of women must shape the future.
- When a woman rises, a nation rises with her.

Turning vision into action
Our Objectives
Our core mission is to support women facing life’s many challenges, especially those who have lost hope. We empower them economically, financially, educationally, medically, and mentally so they can rebuild their lives and live independently without relying on anyone for survival.
Support women and girls suffering from various illnesses who cannot afford medical care and have no one to stand by them, helping them regain their health and dignity.
Identify and support young girls who dropped out of school due to early pregnancy or other life hardships beyond their control—such as poverty—so they can continue their education and regain strength for the future.
Deliver health education to women and girls in both rural and urban areas to reduce preventable deaths and improve overall community wellbeing.
Create programs that connect women and girls with their communities to help them avoid crime, gang involvement, drug abuse, and alcohol dependence—giving them a healthier path forward.
Invest in sustainable projects that help women and girls gain independence and stability in every area of life.
Establish educational institutions such as schools and vocational training centers for women and girls who missed out on formal education.
Open event halls to generate income that supports the Foundation’s ongoing mission and sustainability.
Build hospitals and health centers under the Simama Mwanamke Foundation to provide essential healthcare services.
Create microfinance programs to offer small, affordable loans to women in need so they can launch or expand small businesses.
Provide entrepreneurship education through workshops, research, reports, and training seminars that equip women with practical business and innovation skills.
Offer free legal aid to women and girls who are victims of abuse or injustice, ensuring they receive the justice and protection they deserve.
Collaborate with international bodies focused on eliminating gender-based violence and protecting women’s rights—such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Violence Against Women, the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa, and the Beijing Declaration.
Open support centers for people with disabilities, including the blind, the deaf, and those who are fully dependent—providing essential supplies and assistive equipment for mobility and independence.
Offer spiritual support and guidance to women and girls in need, helping them draw strength from their faith and live free from destructive behavior.
